Hey! My first FIRST!
I just logged on to report the same (it was mentioned in the game). I figured this would happen with Giguere starting so often. The first portion of the first period looked like a shooting gallery for the Canucks.
Hopefully the injury is slight and Giguere will be alright for next season. |

You think he gets traded assuming this injury isn't long-term? |

If I remember correctly, Giguere has had at least one or two groin injuries in the past, and with so little time left in this season (about seven weeks) he probably won't be back until next season unless the injury was very minor. |

I have no concerns about Varly in net...The Kid will do alright. Go AVS go. |

No, I think he's responding to me. I'm concerned that Giguere, who I think has had a few groin injuries in the past and is no spring chicken, might be injured enough to require surgery that might keep him on IR for awhile (into next season). |

I thought so. I just meant to ask in general. A team like Chicago would probably be willing to part with a good asset in return for him. |

People are hoping Aittokallio will get signed if Giguere is out long term |

I doubt Giguere is traded. Uninjured, Giguere will be an important part of Colorado making the playoffs this year (if they do) and they'll probably keep him. Injured, Chicago has no interest in him.

Duchene is returning this week and if P.Stastny can keep to engine running to a high level we should compete for a spot until the end. |

Giguere returned to the bench at the start of the 2nd Period. Maybe the injury isn't that bad... |

Avs just don't have the offense to compete with the Nucks atm. Especially with Duchene and Galli out. Sacco's system doesn't help either but he obviously isn't going to be fired at this point in the season.
Can we also talk about how much they played porter in the last 10 minutes. I don't care how hard he is trying, he just isn't an NHL caliber player.
Avs played well but the avs didn't have much of a chance, even with Varly playing lights out. |
